Hello! We’re Chris & Bianca
Hey there, thanks for stopping by. We’re Chris & Bianca, two Aussie’s from Melbourne who love hiking, travel, and the outdoors. Chris is fuelled by sweet drinks (pepsi max is his favourite), bouldering, and snowboarding. Bianca enjoys landscape photography, running (with a running shoe and steigen addiction), and is a sucker for a sweet treat.
We have always wanted to travel and explore, however, like most people it was tricky to find the right time with all that life offers (and a pandemic). After we got married last year, we decided to take an extended honeymoon and quit our jobs!
Our journey started when we met at university where we would go on adventures and talked about writing a blog or sharing tips (took photos, videos, made notes – you name it) though it never came to fruition. Much like quitting our jobs, we have decided to rip the bandaid and give it a go whilst also having a great way to record the places we have seen, the people we have met, and the memories we have made.
Follow along as we hope to share a snippet, and tip or two, of our experience.
what to expect from this blog…
Simple, yet informative content with a side of french fries. I (Chris) started writing this blog as a passion project and a way to document our travels. Whilst researching hikes such as Alta Via 1 in the Dolomites and Tour du Mont Blanc, I found that the information out there didn’t always answer my questions.
In an attempt to answer these questions, the thought of writing a blog came to mind. I hope that our website can be a useful source of information for someone out there. I keep my posts genuine and unfiltered so you can rest assure that there’s no fake reviews.

![9 Days on the Tour Du Mont Blanc Trail: A Recap1. Toughest day
Day 3 was really challenging, mentally and physically as we made it to Courmayeur, Italy. It definitely felt like we bit off more than we could chew.2. Favourite campsite:
Les Chapieux - stunning spot surrounded by mountains, pasta and pizza went down a treat (and our other treat = pain au chocolate), and a fantastic atmosphere with fellow hikers.3. Best view
A tough one but hiking into Italy from Col de la Seigne on day 3 with views of the Mont Blanc massifs. (A close second hiking back into France on day 8. Sadly we missed Lac Blanc!)4. Hardest lesson
It’s ok to take a gondola. Hike your own hike.5. Unexpected highlight
Seeing the dogs on the trail, especially the shiba inu!6. Final thoughts
Would we do it again? Yes, but maybe not for a while or just sections, especially Lac Blanc! It was tough but worth it.#TMB #TourDuMontBlanc #France #hiking
