Cinque Terre highlightsWe spent a few days explo Cinque Terre highlightsWe spent a few days exploring Cinque Terre. It is possible to see all 5 fishing villages in one day, but we split it into two which made it less rushed and more enjoyable. We bought the combined tickets that gives you all day and unlimited train travel which is definitely worth it.Lots of little shops to peek into, basil lemon granitas, and seafood. We stayed just outside of Cinque Terre in La Spezia which was nice to step away slightly and is only a stone throw, or short train ride (~10mins), away from the first village. We tried gelato around town and our top pick was from Gelateria Gusto La Spezia - huge portions, fair priced, and delicious![Italy, Cinque Terre, Travel]

2 hours in Pisa, ItalyA quick stop to Pisa en r 2 hours in Pisa, ItalyA quick stop to Pisa en route to the rest of our Italian adventure meant one thing…seeing the iconic and touristy Leaning Tower of Pisa in person!A speed walk through the town and across the bridge over the Arno river led us to the tower. We quickly snapped a few photos, along with many others, before heading back. We detoured to grab a panini from L’Ostellino @l_ostellino (Thanks Reddit!) and it delivered!#italy #Pisa #Travel

Rome, Italy highlights In a nutshell, our Rome exp Rome, Italy highlights
In a nutshell, our Rome experience was filled with quaint courtyards, a bit of Rick Steves, and lots of food (and about 100 gelatos - not pictured but you all know B so you can trust that this is a legit gelato count)!1. & 2. Colosseum
Stinking hot this day so definitely recommend visiting closer towards sunset/closing time. For the photo buffs, this lines up perfectly with those golden hour photos too! They have upgraded their audio guide system to an app and didn’t seem to offer the old device so pre-download the guide before visiting if you can as there isn’t much service inside.3. Vatican Museum
If you’re not booking a tour or eavesdropping on other tours…Rick Steves saves the day with an audio guide around the place and you can x2 speed4. Cooking Class Rome @cookingclassrome
A 1000% highlight of our time in Rome with Romina’s cooking class. A unique and surprising location filled with tunes, lots of snacks, and wine! It was so fun to learn how to make different types of pasta and of course, eating it too. We were rolling out the door by the end of the class!5. Rome running tour
Yep, 5am wake up call to beat the heat and crowds to see some of the touristy places around Rome (Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Spanish steps). Honestly, we thought we would be more fit after hiking TMB but it was a big struggle.6. Antico Forno Roscioli @anticofornoroscioli
Freshly baked bread? Yes x200. This place had a line most days we walked past and we could understand why. B’s favourite was potato (cmon you’re joking if you don’t like potato focaccia), and Chris is usual choice is prosciutto.[Italy, Rome, travel]

9 Days on the Tour Du Mont Blanc Trail: A Recap1 9 Days on the Tour Du Mont Blanc Trail: A Recap1. Toughest day
Day 3 was really challenging, mentally and physically as we made it to Courmayeur, Italy. It definitely felt like we bit off more than we could chew.2. Favourite campsite:
Les Chapieux - stunning spot surrounded by mountains, pasta and pizza went down a treat (and our other treat = pain au chocolate), and a fantastic atmosphere with fellow hikers.3. Best view
A tough one but hiking into Italy from Col de la Seigne on day 3 with views of the Mont Blanc massifs. (A close second hiking back into France on day 8. Sadly we missed Lac Blanc!)4. Hardest lesson
It’s ok to take a gondola. Hike your own hike.5. Unexpected highlight
Seeing the dogs on the trail, especially the shiba inu!6. Final thoughts
Would we do it again? Yes, but maybe not for a while or just sections, especially Lac Blanc! It was tough but worth it.#TMB #TourDuMontBlanc #France #hiking
