9 Days on the Tour Du Mont Blanc Trail: A Recap1 9 Days on the Tour Du Mont Blanc Trail: A Recap1. Toughest day
Day 3 was really challenging, mentally and physically as we made it to Courmayeur, Italy. It definitely felt like we bit off more than we could chew.2. Favourite campsite:
Les Chapieux - stunning spot surrounded by mountains, pasta and pizza went down a treat (and our other treat = pain au chocolate), and a fantastic atmosphere with fellow hikers.3. Best view
A tough one but hiking into Italy from Col de la Seigne on day 3 with views of the Mont Blanc massifs. (A close second hiking back into France on day 8. Sadly we missed Lac Blanc!)4. Hardest lesson
It’s ok to take a gondola. Hike your own hike.5. Unexpected highlight
Seeing the dogs on the trail, especially the shiba inu!6. Final thoughts
Would we do it again? Yes, but maybe not for a while or just sections, especially Lac Blanc! It was tough but worth it.#TMB #TourDuMontBlanc #France #hiking

Lindt Home of ChocolateThe Lindt factory is loca Lindt Home of ChocolateThe Lindt factory is located in Zurich, Switzerland. If you have been following us, you know this was a must for us while visiting Switzerland.Walking into the museum, it feels like angels are singing to you and you have made it to heaven, chocolate heaven, as you are welcomed by the giant (REAL!!!) chocolate fountain. After an obligatory snap with the fountain, you continue up the stairs and start the tour. You can either pay for a guided tour or take your time on an audio guided interactive tour. You are taken through the history and art of making chocolate. If you’re not that interested, the tasting part is coming up!The first tasting is from three fountains of white, milk, and dark chocolate. Simply grab a spoon and push the lever. Not long after the second tasting involves a machine that chops and delivers a small sample of different flavours or types of chocolate to your hand. We may or may not have lingered here for one too many chocolates. Oops…The remainder of the tour takes you through some more history, a Lindt chocolate themed Photo Booth, and literal handfuls of Lindt balls in a convenient bag. The Lindt balls were hands down the best we have ever had (the liquid inside was actually still liquid!). There is also a chance to view the workers making the Lindt chocolate right in front of your eyes, before finishing up with a golden ball obstacle course and the biggest Lindt shop selling all the possible Lindt flavours you can think of! (Hint: you get an extra Lindt ball just by entering the store.)The Lindt factory also has a cafe back on ground level selling a variety of food and drink including Lindt hot chocolates.#lindt #lindtchocolate #homeofchocolate #lindthomeofchocolate #zurich #switzerland
Liechtenstein in a dayA day trip to visit one o Liechtenstein in a dayA day trip to visit one of the smallest countries in the world, Liechtenstein! We made use of the “Liechtenstein all inclusive adventure pass” which includes access to public transport and over 30 attractions for only 25CHF (just under 50AUD).We explored Liechtenstein with some scenic mini golf that brought us to different places and stores around town including the post museum, the treasure chamber, views of the Vaduz castle (where the royal family currently resides), and the old cinema. You also have access to the local pool, wine or beer tasting, and a discount from the bakery. Unfortunately for us, it was a bit too wet for most of the day for us to go hiking so we will hopefully come back one day to explore the Liechtenstein mountains!Check out our blog for more details (link in the bio).#liechtenstein #adventurepass
Nordkette Cable Car trail, Innsbruck, Austria.Th Nordkette Cable Car trail, Innsbruck, Austria. This trail 4.5km trail runs from Hungerburg to Hafelekar, the “Top of Innsbruck”. If you’re not interested in hiking, you can take the cable car (tickets available either online or in person @nordketteinnsbruck ). Once you have had a minute to soak in the view of Innsbruck you can either stop at the Seegrube restaurant or continue on by walking or taking the cable car to the Hafelekarspitze peak for more panoramic views.Unfortunately the weather began to change for the worse shortly after we arrived at Seegrube station (Seegrubenbahn) so we decided to hike back down into town instead. If you’re interested in this hike, check out our blog for more information (link is in the bio).#nordkette #cablecar #hike #austria #innsbruck #innsbruckaustria #trail #hiking #innsbruckernordkettenbahnen #topofinnsbruck
